La aplicación de presiones hidrostáticas altas supone una alternativa al tratamiento térmico de pasteurización aplicado en los bancos de leche. Sin embargo, no todos los tratamientos suponen una ventaja respecto del tratamiento térmico. Es necesario estudiar más en profundidad la efectividad de estos tratamientos a nivel microbiológico.

Se realizó un taller para farmacéuticos sobre el uso racional de medicamentos para identificar situaciones asociadas con el uso irracional en establecimientos asistenciales, proponiendo estrategias para promover el uso racional. Los farmacéuticos participantes reconocieron que podrían o deberían intervenir en más del 90% de las situaciones identificadas. La mayoría de las estrategias propuestas quedan bajo responsabilidad de este profesional.
