Descreve-se, pela primeira vez no Brasil, cepas de M. kyorinense isoladas de espécimens clínicos. O seqüenciamento de diferentes alvos genéticos e a construção de uma árvore concatenada permitiram a identificação das cepas brasileiras como M. kyorinense.
