TUBERCULOSIS DIAGNOSTICS: HURDLES AND HOPES
This review discuss various conventional and modern modalities of diagnosing tuberculosis infection and critically analyzed their potential and limitations with a few suggestions about future avenues. Apart from the technical aspects of diagnostics, the important part of this review is the motivation of researchers for putting more and more efforts in this area. For this it has been highlighted that there has been an enhanced interest and awareness about the disease and related research worldwide. This was substantiated by the enlistment of some premier funding agencies. It is suggested to the researchers to take timely advantage of the opportunities being created to help them innovate.
