A diagnosis of malignancy often means a protracted course of treatment which is punctuated by pain. Patients need effective pain relief as out patient. In a 300 bedded palliative care clinic. A simple score was devised using Short Messaging Service (SMS) of mobile phone to follow up adequacy of pain relief and compliance with analgesics in out patients.
