Textos Completos Autorizados

Study on the changes and influencing factors of depression in Chinese women with cancer: an analysis based on CHARLS panel data.

Fuente:Frontiers in Public Health

Extracto: The depressive state among Chinese women with cancer is alarming. In view of this, there is an urgent need for introducing more supportive policies aimed at improving psychological health, developing tailored measures to address the specific needs of different groups, intensifying efforts to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of depression, particularly for those in rural areas, central and western regions, and among individuals with lower educational levels. Additionally, the role of social participation activities, such as visiting neighbors and exercising, should be given full play to alleviate depressive symptoms.

Are facility service delivery models meeting the sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa? A qualitative evidence synthesis.

Fuente:Bmc Health Services Research

Tipo de trabajo:Revisión sistemática

Extracto: Facility-based SRH service delivery models can improve access to information and services when complemented with community-based interventions, adolescent-friendly providers, and assurance of service accessibility. However, significant gaps, such as healthcare providers' negative attitudes and behaviours, concerns about privacy and confidentiality, financial constraints, and transportation challenges, limit their effectiveness. These findings call for expanding out-of-facility services, adopting mHealth solutions, enhancing provider training, strengthening confidentiality, and reducing financial barriers to ensure equitable and effective access to services.

Tone or tissue? A comparison of trends and risk factors of severe postpartum hemorrhage according to uterine atony or retained tissue in a hospital setting.

Fuente:Plos One

Extracto: The observed increased rate of PPH in the study period was mainly driven by an increase in atonic PPH, while the rate of severe PPH caused by retained tissue remained stable. The proportion caused by retained tissue was highest among the most severe cases of PPH. The reason for the increase in severe PPH due to uterine atony, but not retained tissue was not clear, but we speculate that it may be a combination of increasing risk factors with increased awareness of PPH.
