The profiles of cholesterol and glycosphingolipid species are largely similar between the control and glaucomatous TM and AH. Differences in profiles need to be further studied using high resolution mass spectrometry and chemical modification.

This study found that 73% of adult eyes with recurrent chalazion had ocular Demodicidosis. Weekly lid scrub with 50% tea tree oil for 3 consecutive weeks, together with daily lid scrub with tea tree shampoo, was successful in treating Demodicidosis and preventing recurrence in 97% of cases.

In order to determine the roles of IL-1beta and IL-10 in the vitreous of PDR, we measured IL-1beta and IL-10 concentration by ELISA. We found vitreous levels of IL-1beta and IL-10 were upregulated in PDR patients, and these two cytokines play roles in regulating the development and progression of PDR.
