El tratamiento de la enfermedad de Chagas tiene eficacia limitada y efectos colaterales indeseados. Sobre un modelo murino de esta enfermedad, la administración de vitamina B12 permitió controlar la parasitemia, modificando el estado oxidativo del parásito, sin generar citotoxicidad. Nuevas alternativas terapéuticas podrían surgir combinando la vitamina B12 y menores dosis de los antiparasitarios actualmente en uso.

In treatment-naïve patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), initial combination therapy with dapagliflozin + extended-release metformin (MET XR) resulted in significant improvements in glycaemic and weight outcomes. Dapagliflozin + MET XR provided superior glycaemic benefits to monotherapy with either agent. The combination treatment was generally well tolerated.
