BONE ISLANDS OF THE CRANIOMAXILLOFACIAL REGION
The presumptive diagnosis of a bone island can easily be made if the individual clinical and radiologic findings, together with follow-up examinations, are taken into account. In addition, it is important to recognize this anomaly, evaluate radiographies carefully and distinguish it from other bone variations such as primary or metastatic tumours, which is much more significant clinically in dental examinations.
