El trabajo contribuye a conocer algunos aspectos fisiopatológicos de tipo inmunitario que podrían ser específicos de la depresión melancólica

CARACTERISTICAS LINFOCITARIAS DIFERENCIALES DE LA DEPRESION MELANCOLICA

Se compararon el fenotipo linfocitario y la producción de linfoquinas en un grupo de pacientes con depresión no melancólica y otro con depresión melancólica y se compararon con un grupo de controles sanos. Encontramos mayor número de linfocitos CD4+ – que desaparece con la remisión– en los pacientes melancólicos respecto de los sanos. También hayamos un aumento de IL-2 ( que se normaliza tras la remisión) en todos los pacientes deprimidos en relación con los controles sanos.
