PRONÓSTICO HOSPITALARIO Y A LARGO PLAZO DE LOS PACIENTES CON STENT CAROTÍDEO

Este estudio demuestra que la angioplastia carotídea es un procedimiento aceptable, con una baja tasa de complicaciones agudas en pacientes con indicación de revascularización carotídea; estos resultados se mantuvieron en el tiempo. En esta serie de casos, el uso de dispositivos de protección de embolias no se asoció con mejores resultados.
