Es la primera demostración referida del aumento de las poliaminas en niños afectos de obesidad.
INCREMENTO DE LAS POLIAMINAS EN NIÑOS OBESOS
En los niños obesos se encuentra un aumento de las poliaminas en sangre. La espermina (poliamina que presenta mayor poder discriminativo con respecto a la obesidad) se correlaciona con marcadores de inflamación, estrés oxidativo y nitrosativo y de angiogénesis. Esta relación puede apoyar la aparición de comorbilidades en niños obesos. Su relación con el incremento de riesgo cancerígeno en la obesidad merece investigaciones posteriores.
