Este trabajo permite determinar el papel relevante que cumplen las especies usualmente identificadas como ambientales, por su capacidad para actuar como fuente y como vías de transmisión de la dispersión de los mecanismos de resistencia a antibióticos.
ANALIZAN LA DISEMINACIÓN DE DETERMINANTES DE RESISTENCIA A ANTIBIÓTICOS DEL GÉNERO SHEWANELLA
La alta frecuencia de diseminación de los determinantes de resistencia a antibióticos asociados a la transferencia horizontal de genes en aislamientos nosocomiales del género Shewanella pone de manifiesto la capacidad de este género para actuar como reservorio y a su vez vector de la resistencia antibiótica.
