Cholescintigraphy as a tool to assess the mode of management in patients with acute acalculous cholecystitis
CHOLESCINTIGRAPHY IN ACUTE ACALCULOUS CHOLECYSTITIS

 In patients diagnosed with acalculous cholecystitis on USG, it is difficult to decide on further course of action – medical Vs surgical. Cholescintigraphy findings of either non visualization of gall bladder or GBEF < 40% were used as pointers to select patients who would benefit from surgery.
