A HOME-BASED COGNITIVE RETRAINING PROGRAM FOR FIRST EPISODE SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS

A randomized controlled study was carried out to examine the effectiveness of a two-month long home-based cognitive retraining (HBCR) program. Addition of HBCR program has shown promise in improving attention and executive functions with large effect sizes in first episode schizophrenia patients. Early intervention in this debilitating illness is warranted.
