PATIENTS WITH DEGENERATIVE DEMENTIAS
MIRROR IMAGE AGNOSIA

Patients with dementia can show specific difficulty in identifying reflected self images in spite of having proper knowledge about the mirror and other reflected objects.This is seen in patients with moderate stage dementia and correlated with right parietal atrophy. real time processing of reflected self images probably have specific data linking circuits in the right parietal lobe.
