EVIDENCE BASED MANAGEMENT OF FEMORAL HEAD OSTEONECROSIS

Early diagnosis and treatment is essential for the preservation of the hip joint in osteonecrosis of the femoral head. In advanced femoral head collapse (>2mm), hip preserving procedures are less effective and arthroplasty has a better outcome.
