Anup Das describes for SIIC the most significant aspects of his article describe para SIIC los aspectos relevantes de su artículo issues of burden of helminthiasis A SHORT REVIEW OF ASCARIASIS The oldest human helminthiasis due to Ascariasis, although a health-problem in tropics, is not uncommon in other parts. It can involve the hepato-biliary system too. The disease burden can be addressed by mass eradication programme but still is a high cause of mortality, growth retardation and other morbidities. Susceptibility, worm load and other genetic factors are avenues for further research. Conservative treatment suffice, but surgery may be indicated in selected cases. Endoscopic treatment are highly effective in biliary ascariasis. The article was published by El artículo fue publicado por
