AASI after renal transplantation
AMBULATORY ARTERIAL STIFFNESS INDEX IN CHILDREN AFTER KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION

Ambulatory arterial stiffness index (AASI) -calculated from 24 h ABPM- is a marker of arterial stiffness, predicting cardiovascular morbidity. After pediatric kidney transplantation (RTX) AASI is influenced by the dipping state, volume overload and time on dialysis. In hypertensive RTX children increased AASI characterizes the actual volume and pressure-dependent arterial rigidity.
