Chandra S.r describes for SIIC the most significant aspects of his article describe para SIIC los aspectos relevantes de su artículo CHOLINERGIC DYSFUNCTION IN MYASTHENIA GRAVIS- IS IT GENERALIZED? Autonomic function testing was done in patients with myasthenia gravis in remission considering it as an index of generalized cholinergic dysfunction. In seropositive patients significant abnormality was found in frequency domain parameters and a trend was noted in duration domain parameters. There was also statistically significant decrease in time and frequency domain (RMSS and HFMD suggesting parasympathetic deficiency and change in low frequency/high frequency ratio suggesting increased sympathetic tone. This could be due to decrease in ACh signal processing at post ganglionic, preganglionic as well as smooth muscles of the heart. The impact on sympathetic is less because post ganglionic sympathetic synapses are much more than parasympathetic. The article was published by El artículo fue publicado por
