VARUS DEFORMITY IN SUPRAINTERCONDYLAR FRACTURE TREATED WITH CONDYLAR BUTTRESS PLATES

A union rate of 90% can be achieved in cases of supraintercondylar fracture of the femur when treated with condylar buttress plates; however, the functional outcome can be fair to poor. Besides, insufficient stability results in high rate of varus deformity.
