Este trabajo enumera los tipos celulares que pueden utilizarse para regenerar el miocardio y sus mecanismos de acción

TRASPLANTE DE CELULAS MADRE PARA REGENERAR Y ASISTIR EL CORAZON

La medicina regenerativa comenzó a desarrollarse gracias a las recientes innovaciones en el dominio de la biología celular (aplicacion de células madre multipotentes) y a otras disciplinas como la ingenieria de tejidos, bioquimica, biofisica, genética y biología molecular. El trasplante de células progenitoras indiferenciadas en el miocardio patologico regenera las células cardíacas y su matriz extracelular a través de mecanismos de “angiogénesis” y “miogénesis”. El objetivo de las técnicas de regeneración es el restablecimiento de la estructura y función de tejidos lesionados, la finalidad principal es evitar el trasplante de órganos.
