GLOSSOPHARYNGEAL NEURALGIA: OFTEN A WRONG DIAGNOSIS AND A WRONG TREATMENT
Diagnosing and treating glossopharyngeal neuralgia often is challenging as it is often misdiagnosed and treated as trigeminal neuralgia. With adequate medical therapy in addition to extraoral nerve blocks, most patients respond with satisfactory pain relief. The carious diagnostic and therapeutic strategies are highlighted in the text.

PATIENT -CONTROLLED EPIDURAL ROPIVACAINE FOR POST-CESAREAN ANALGESIA
Patient-controlled epidural analgesia with pure ropivacaine induced significant motor blockade during the first 12 hours, but without delaying the time to first ambulation. Patients in the ropivacaine group reported higher patient satisfaction scores due to the significant reduction of annoying side effects, such as pruritus, nausea, vomiting, and urinary retention.

PREVALENCIA DE DOLOR EN PACIENTES INGRESADOS EN UN HOSPITAL DE ATENCIÓN TERCIARIA
Se encontró alta prevalencia de dolor en los pacientes analizados. Se observó una pauta elevada de analgesia a demanda. Son necesarias acciones formativas para mejorar el uso de escalas de dolor y adaptar la pauta de tratamiento.

Eletroacupuntura nos pontos IG4, IG11, E36 e E44 causou efeitos antinociceptivo e anti-inflamatório na artrite aguda induzida por zymosan na articulação temporomandibular de ratos. A investigação de possíveis mecanismos moleculares para obtenção de tais efeitos será importante para aceitação da acupuntura como tratamento eficaz na disfunção temporomandibular.
