EL PAPEL DE LA GRELINA EN LA HOMEOSTASIS ENERGETICA DE LAS PERSONAS MAYORES

Existe un ligero declinar de los niveles de grelina con la edad en las personas de 70 años o más, aunque su relevancia clínica debe estudiarse con mayor profundidad. Asimismo, los niveles de grelina se han correlacionado con la fuerza muscular, por lo que podrían actuar como un indicador de robustez o fragilidad, aunque también son necesarios más estudios en este sentido.
