Inducible clindamycin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus isolates

D test should be included as a mandatory method in routine disc diffusion testing to detect inducible clindamycin resistance in Staphylococci. The use of clindamycin should be restricted to D test negative isolates of Staphylococci.
